Advanced Carbine

This Advanced Rifle course instructs students on the safe management of advanced rifle training. Students will learn to properly employ the rifle using the Iron, ACOG, EOTech or any other sights while demonstrating proper handling and care. After mastering the iron sights and optics, students will progress into reaction drills, target discrimination, malfunctions and barricade shooting. A “Balance of Speed and Marksmanship” exam at the end of the session tests the skills developed over the course. The Advanced Rifle course is designed to teach the student to be well rounded at the highest level while operating a rifle.

What You Need To Bring

  • M4 (one per student)
  • Three 30-round magazines or Four 10- round magazines
  • Tactical gear and equipment
  • Sling
  • Magazine holders
  • Wraparound ballistic eye protection
  • Ear protection (electronic is preferred)
  • Belt
  • Positive attitude
  • Willingness to learn 
  • Ability to follow simple instructions
  • Pants and proper range attire
  • 400 rounds of weapon-specific ammunition (No Steel core or AP ammo)
